User Guide: Getting Started
1. Loading Your Images
Aura 360 Pro RAW supports two primary workflows: HDR Fusion and Single Shot.
-
HDR Fusion Mode: Select 2 to 7 bracketed DNG, TIFF, PNG or JPG files (e.g., -2EV, 0EV, +2EV). The app will automatically align and merge them into a single high-dynamic-range image.
-
Single Shot Mode: Load a single DNG, TIFF, PNG or JPG high-resolution panoramic image for post-processing and refinement.
2. The Editing Workspace
The editing interface is divided into a 3D Interactive Viewport and a Sidebar Control Panel.
-
3D Viewport: Use your mouse to click and drag to rotate the view. This allows you to inspect the stitch lines and HDR quality from any angle before exporting.
-
Adjustments Panel: Fine-tune your image with professional sliders:
-
Exposure & Contrast: Balance the overall brightness and dynamic range.
-
Highlights & Shadows: Recover detail in bright skies or dark corners.
-
Temp & Tint: Adjust the white balance to match the environment.
-
Vibrance & Saturation: Control the color intensity without clipping.
-
-
Refinement Panel: Apply Smoothing to reduce noise in dark areas or Sharpening to bring out architectural details. *Preview only available for JPG images.
3. Working with Presets
To speed up your workflow, you can save your favorite adjustment settings.
-
Save a Preset: You can save the adjustments you made as a preset. Click the Floppy Disk icon, name your preset (e.g., “Real Estate Interior”), and save.
-
Load a Preset: Use the dropdown menu to instantly apply saved adjustments to new images.
4. Exporting Your Final 360° Panorama
When you are satisfied with your edits, proceed to the Export section.
-
Resolution Selection: Choose from 4K, 8K, 12K, or 16K. You can also export at the Original Resolution of the source files.
-
Format Selection: Choose between high-quality JPEG, lossless TIFF, or PNG.
-
Automatic Metadata: Aura 360 Pro RAW automatically injects the necessary XMP/Exif metadata (Equirectangular Projection) into the file. This ensures the image is immediately recognized as a 360° photo by platforms like Facebook, Kuula, and 360cities.net.
Note on Performance: When exporting at very high resolutions (12K+), the application utilizes a tiled rendering engine to manage system memory. For the best experience, ensure no other memory-intensive applications are running during a 16K export.
